Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Sharyn Munro Virtual Assisance Question Mark

Some of the FAQ (frequently asked questions) that come up a lot:

Can you help me with….?

Why yes, yes I can.

But I didn’t tell you what I need help with.

That’s OK – if it’s not something I can do, I can help you find someone who can.

Can you do my social media for me?

Actually no, I can’t.  Or more precisely, it’s not a service I offer. Social media is about building relationships and showing your expertise.  I always feel disappointed when I find out someone I’ve been engaging with on social media isn’t who I thought they were, and I’ve stopped using businesses that didn’t match their online persona.  I feel quite strongly about it and I’ve done a whole blog post on it here:  Why I Won’t Create Your Content For You.

How much do you charge?

I charge $50 per hour for all work. If you have a project that you want a fixed quote for, book an appointment to chat, or drop me an email with specific details of what you need done and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

Do I have to sign a contract?

Yes, but it’s painless and I send it online so it doesn’t need to hold up anything.

How do I know you’re legit?

Check out my Testimonials and you’ll see that I’m too legit to quit

I have sensitive information from my clients, how do I know that it’s safe?

I’m quite happy to sign a confidentiality agreement and I send it through electronically, so it’s quick, painless and we both end up with a legally acceptable copy.

For further peace of mind, I also have PI & Cyber insurance. And, for extra security for all my clients, I use LastPass, a VPN and I use Firefox browser.

What about payment? How often do you invoice? How do I pay? What are your terms?

Payment is mandatory (I know, I’m pushy as all heck aren’t I?). I invoice monthly on the first business day of the month and payment is due 7 days later.  I prefer payment by Direct Debit (details are on the invoice) but if there’s a problem with that, just ask and I can also accept cash, PayPal, Credit Card (via PayPal), and on occasion, Cheque. My terms are strictly 7 days, of course if you’re having a very bad week, please talk to me about it and I’ll see what I can do without making your tight month into my tight month.

How does the whole working with a Virtual Assistant thing work?

I’m so happy you asked! I’ve written a whole series of blog posts on Working with a Virtual Assistant. If you can’t find what you’re after there, drop me a line.

If there are any other questions you have, please don’t hesitate to contact me – you may even find your question makes it into the FAQ!
