When To Use Your Facebook Business Page As A Business Or A Person

Don’t be a Nellie No Friends!

When you’re liking posts on your Facebook Business Page, make sure you are liking them as your personal profile, not as the Business Page.  Ideally, you want to post and respond to comments as your Business Page, but like posts as yourself.

You may also want to add new comments as yourself rather than your Business Page, depending on their content. If a comment is to give a bit more information about the article you shared, comment as your Business Page. However, if you want to comment with a personal viewpoint about the article, then do it as yourself.

You can tell your Facebook Business Page who to post as by default, either as your personal account, or as the Business Page.

To set which you want to use by default, go to settings

Then select Post Attribution and choose who you want set as your default.

Then when you’re posting or commenting and need to change who you post as, just click the little down arrow next to the profile picture (which will show the profile you’re currently posting as) and select the profile you want to use.

By making sure that you like posts as yourself, you’ll be making sure that your Business Pages posts make it onto your newsfeed and get a larger exposure.
