How A Virtual Assistant Could Help With… Having A Well Balanced Life

Sharyn Munro Virtual Assistance Having A Well Balanced Life ImageThe things a Virtual Assistant can do to help your life run a little more smoothly are really only limited by your imagination.

I’ve already discussed how a Virtual Assistant could help in your professional life many times before. Check out my “How a Virtual Assistant Could Help With…” category to see them all.

However, the things they can do to help you with having a well balanced life are really not limited to business.

Here’s 25 (occasionally tongue in cheek) things that a Virtual Assistant could do to help keep some of the stress out of your personal life:
  1. Research for new major purchases you need to make e.g.: Car, Whitegoods, TV, Computer, Phone plans etc.
  2. Research holiday destinations, accommodation, travel and sightseeing options
  3. Book holidays
  4. Organise your personal contacts
  5. I once saw someone on Elance who was looking for a Virtual Assistant to create internet dating accounts for him, browse profiles and organise dates with females who fit within certain criteria.
  6. Keep an eye on online auctions to make sure you win that thing you really want/need
  7. Pay your bills
  8. Remind you about important dates (like your wedding anniversary) and ensure appropriate gifts are sourced in plenty of time
  9. Organise “thank you” gifts
  10. Send flowers or other gifts to friends, family or clients to celebrate important events such as a marriage or birth
  11. Organise appropriate cards for special occasions and ensure they get posted in time
  12. Make sure anniversary dates are noted in your contact database and calendar as appropriate
  13. Create and post online ads for things you’re trying to sell
  14. Search online ads for secondhand items you’re looking to buy
  15. Create and post ads for staff and helpers you’re looking for. i.e.: Tutors, cleaners, dog walkers, someone to do the ironing etc.
  16. Filter through applications for staff and helpers and organise interviews
  17. Take care of paying staff and helpers
  18. Book your car in for a service
  19. Book your pets in for their veterinary check-ups and grooming appointments
  20. Find a house sitter for when you’re on holiday and be a “in case of emergency” contact who keeps a list of friends and family who can help out with any problems
  21. Keep copies and details of your passport and other travel documents in case you have any issues while you’re away
  22. Take your holiday snaps or family photos and turn them into a PowerPoint show for “slide night”
  23. Dial in to your mobile phone voicemail and return calls for any urgent messages, and contact you with any urgent business
  24. Type, proofread and submit  your job applications as well as your CV
  25. Keep an eye on your personal email & phone messages and arrange interviews on your behalf
