Move Subscribers Between MailChimp Lists
Sometimes you might want to move one or more subscribers between MailChimp lists for one reason or other. Whether it’s because they’ve signed up to get one of your lead magnets and you want to move them to your newsletter list or because you want to remove them from your mailing list without needing them to resubscribe if you move them back, it’s a quick and easy process.
Log into MailChimp and click on Lists to select the list the subscribers are on
Select the names you want to move.
Hint: If it’s the majority of the list, click Select All and remove the ones you don’t want to move.
In Actions select Move to List (or Copy to List if you want them to remain on the original list)
Note that only the fields that are on the list subscribers are moving to will be copied. So if you have some fields on your original list (last name, business name) that aren’t on the list the subscribers are moving to they will be lost. So make sure you add them in first if they’re essential.
