You’ve probably heard a lot of talk about Zapier and how it can make your life a lot easier. For those that haven’t the simple explanation is that you use Zapier to make two other programs talk to each other. For example, Zapier can:
- Add information entered into an online form into a database. i.e. from your New Client Onboarding form into your CRM
- Copy information from one database to another. For example, copy an email address and name from your CRM into MailChimp (or any other email software)
- Zapier can share Tweets that you like to Facebook
- It can create a row on a Google Sheet from new ads in Facebook leads
- Then create a Trello card from the new row in Google Sheets.
If you’re still unsure how it can work for you, here are 3 reasons why you should use Zapier.
Time savings
Entering data into multiple places takes time and is usually unnecessary. The less time you spend on copying data from one program to another, the more time you’ll have to work with your clients, work on your business, spend time with friends or family or just have a little well-deserved time to yourself.
Reduce errors
By having data transferred from place to place rather than manually typing it multiple times, it means that there are less likely to be typographical errors. It also means you’ll only need to proofread or double check one place to know that it’s right in all of them. And if you find a mistake, change it in one and it can update in all.
Simplify processes
Having good processes makes business easier. It means you can focus on more important things than the routine tasks of your business. Unfortunately, complicated processes don’t work. By simplifying them, you make it more likely that your staff and you will use then. Zapier can automate processes and eliminate the need to waste time doing busywork.
